  1. Thanks for those links! I couldn’t find the soup label on the website anymore. It looks new and improved as well. :)

  2. Hi Marie,

You’re welcome! I’ve got SO much stuff to get up but it’s coming! ;o)

    Hugs,
    Holly

  3. I’m trying to download the Draw near power point file, and it wouldn’t show me anything. Can you email it to me? Or any other suggestions. I do have power point. I’m assuming it would be ok for a presidency sunday lesson also, right? I’m looking for something to set the perfect tone for the Christmas season. Thanks for any help.

    Hi Chari,
Make sure you’re choosing to “save” the download and not just open it.

  4. Hi, I’m not a blogger so I don’t really know how to tell what’s going on here but I was just wondering if anyone else has found this site or only the the previous two messages are so far the only ones? That is sad because there are lot’s of neat ideas and links here. Thanks for setting this up. I will be telling my friends about this site. Happiness, Molly ๐Ÿ˜€

Hi Molly, my statistics show that people are finding and targeting these resources pages but not many leave comments. Thanks for the compliments! I have so much to get transfered over that some days I feel like I’ll never get it done!!

    Hi Holly,

It has come to my attention that your blog was a source for a quote that was used at a youth conference. The quote is
found at http://www.hollyscorner.com/blog/wp-content/files/StrengthenYouth.pdf on your website. I would like to share with
you additional information that might weigh in on your decision whether you retain that quote on your site.

This link will direct you to the church news that contains the following statement:
    http://www.desnews.com/cn/view/1,1721,175001236,00.html?

    Pres. Packer refutes quote
    April 28, 2001

President Boyd K. Packer, acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve, has released
the following concerning a statement he is said to have made:โ€We continue to receive reports
of the distribution of a quote attributed to me which begins, โ€˜The youth of the Church today
were generals in the war in heaven,โ€™ and ends with the statement that when they return to heaven
โ€˜all in attendance will bow in your presence.โ€™
โ€œI did not make that statement. I do not believe that statement.
โ€œThe statement, on occasion, has been attributed to others of the First
Presidency and the Twelve. None of the Brethren made that statement.โ€
President Packer has sent a letter to mission presidents requesting their
help in clarifying this matter among missionaries and members, and has had posted
on some Internet sites carrying the statement a notice that he did not make this declaration.

I hope this is helpful to you. The state that put the youth conference together has already been
    notified.
    Thanks- Ann

I want to thank Ann for pointing out that one of my older files still had reference to this quote. I learned for myself shortly after this lesson that the quote was unfounded but didn’t realize I still had it in any of my materials I’ve shared. Please make note of this important change!

  6. Hi Holly,
thanks for the Christmas lesson, it’s my turn this first Sunday and I wanted some ideas for something different. I downloaded the powerpoint but I didn’t get any of the music :o( is there something else I should have done?
    thanks
    Sue
PS I notice your last name Schwendiman – do any of your family members have links to New Zealand I remember this name of a mission president in Christchurch, New Zealand when I was growing up.

  7. Has anyone had any luck downloading the Draw Near to me ppt WITH the music that will play?
    Beth

  8. I also LOVE the Christmas Presentation you did – it is SO professional! But, I too couldn’t get the music to play. What do I do to get that to work?

Thanks for all of your work.
    Carolyn

  9. Hi Holly….Just called as HFPE leader adn I downloaded the ENRICHED IN CHRIST, but no music. Am I doing something wrong?

    Erin

Hi Erin. You’re not doing anything wrong. The files were too large and there’s no way to ensure that the sisters using them have their own copies. All the music used is in the notes though for you, you can also choose your own music to play in the background. The first slide is the only that’s really specific to any song.

  10. Is it acceptable if I voice Supply Chain Certificate?

I’m sure that would be fine, but I don’t distribute the music for the original slide show. If you’re using the newest version of the slideshow there’s no problems or certificates needed as the music is all is copyright compliant for sharing and already included. ๐Ÿ˜€

  11. Our Relief SOciety Presidency really wants to use the silent Christmas program narrated by Pres. Hinckley, do you know how we can get the narration?

  12. Hi. I am teaching the Relief Society lesson this Sunday and LOVE the idea of the silent lesson. I was reading the one that President Hinckley narrated and was wondering if there was any way to get a copy of the one that he did with his voice? Is there something I am doing wrong on your website?

    Thanks so much.

    Jana Smythe

Hi Jana, No you’re not doing anything wrong. The only copy I have of that is what’s on paper. I don’t have anything with his voice recorded. My suggestion would be to check out the video archives on lds.org. :)

  13. Thanks!!!
